Your First Visit to Our Manchester Practice

You will be warmly welcomed and made to feel at home. Help is on its way!

An initial visit, whether it be chiropractic or physical therapy, typically lasts between 75 and 105 minutes. New patients should bring insurance cards, referrals, any previously taken x-rays and/or x-ray reports if available, related medical records or contact information so that we may request them if necessary and reading glasses if needed to fill out paperwork.

You can expect to be greeted warmly by reception, asked to provide insurance card, any needed referral, applicable co-payment and then provided with new patient paperwork. After the paperwork is completed a member of our clinical staff will escort you to an exam room where your pulse, weight, height and blood pressure will be recorded. Shortly thereafter, Dr. John Merrick will enter and begin a physical examination and obtain a detailed verbal medical history. He will begin a dialog with you regarding the reason for your visit and he will address any questions or concerns you have. He will discuss the treatment plan he recommends for you

After the exam treatment will begin immediately to include the taking of x-rays if necessary, at which time you may be asked to remove some clothing and put on a gown.  After your visit you will be escorted back to reception and scheduled for any additional visits, if necessary.

You can expect Dr. Merrick to call you at home that evening to see how your experience at our clinic was and how you feel after your first treatment. This call will help the doctor fine tune your individual plan.

How do chiropractors help ADHD?
There is agreement that ADHD is a nervous system disorder. And while chiropractic isn't a treatment for ADHD, if your child has vertebral subluxation complexes, resolving them will often produce profound results. Click here to learn why more and more Manchester parents are choosing natural chiropractic care rather than dangerous psychotropic drugs.
What controls your pulse, blood pressure and cholesterol?
Conventional health care focuses on the various aspects of your blood. But these are merely effects. Chiropractic focuses on the integrity of your nervous system that controls, regulates and monitors every aspect of your circulatory system, every aspect of your body and every person in Manchester.
